ABOUT LEXIE
Informed and inspired by the intricacies of the sea floor, this collection is based on the abstracted forms of the ocean. Intended for interiors textiles and surfaces, comprising of dyed and digitally embroidered silks and wools alongside printed cloth. The tactile properties of the collection reflect the textural surfaces of the sea floor and it’s denizens.
Sea slugs and coral reefs interpreted onto cloth. Aquatic animal prints and strange surfaces. Scales, stripes and spots printed digitally and by hand, alongside textural experiments with fabric scraps and digital embroidery.
