ABOUT BRITNEY
I am a designer who loves producing unique and eye-catching Textiles designs for Interiors and stationery.
“House Tropics Collection” is a collection inspired by palm houses and tropical plants. I was inspired by my surroundings of tropical plants and house plants and the architecture of the Palm Houses at Sefton Park Liverpool and Kew gardens.
From researching current and up-coming colour and interiors trends, I created the interiors collection which included wallpaper and soft furnishings – cushions, curtains and bedding. My main colour palette works with greens, blues and pinks, using different tones I have produced many patterns for interiors.
The stationery collection was also inspired by tropical plants and palm houses. I had my main inspiration from researching and I made designs for products such as notebooks, art prints and greeting cards. The designs created were made individually for each product and all are unique, fun and quirky with colourful, detailed patterns and outcomes.
My plans going forward are to gain a career in Surface Pattern as a designer and to produce my own work as a small business owner.
