I’m Elis Williams, a graduate of Product Design from Swansea College of Art, UWTSD. Throughout my time at university I’ve learnt to enjoy and take pride in undertaking research and developing an idea from origination to product solution. I am always looking for new ways to improve people’s day to day life, and have a keen eye for attention to detail within the products I produce. The pandemic has changed the way the creative industries design, and the skills I’ve learnt within the digital world are now invaluable, helping me visualise and critically evaluate my conceptual thinking in a virtual environment for real world scenarios. These were applied in the design of Assist, my final year Major Project, a prosthetic attachment for kitchen utensils. I am keen to get my design career underway and apply the skills and knowledge I’ve learnt from my time at UWTSD.
