I have been interested in photography since I was young, following in the footsteps of my Dad. However, he gave up after his studio was burnt down in a bomb explosion. This was 1989, in Pakistan. Since studying on Foundation I have been developing my interests in photography and my volunteer work in the community. Working on events and festivals has enabled me to take images and develop my body of work.
My work has been recognised in the community and as a BME young photographer I have inspired other people which has encouraged me to develop my work.
For the survival project, I have researched photographic artists who have been struggling in the current Pandemic, and who have depicted the way it has affected them personally, maintaining social distancing to protect themselves.
